What is HotJava?

HotJava is a Browser provided by Sun. It is a modular,
applet-aware, extensible WorldWide Web browser written entirely
in Java. The security in HotJava provides a safe environment for
the execution of imported code. The security is based on
interlocking layers of security that range from the design of
the Java language at the base to the file and network access
protections at the top.
