INFOSYS PATTERN - 17 MAY
2006 - KOLKATTA
Hai,
There is a good news that I want to share with u. Recently on 17th May there was a campus recruitment drive by INFOSYS in Kolkata. I have been selected there.
As usual ther were two
sections,
1)10 puzzles to be
solved in 1 hr.
2)45 questions from
general English to be solved in 30 min.
The interview was held
on the same day. It was mainly HR. No tecnical questions were asked.
Most of the interviews lasted for 15 min. After that result was
announced.
Around 1700 students appeared from 12 colleges across WB. Out of them nearly 213 students cleared the written exam. Finally 110 students were shortlisted. Almost 50% students are rejected in interview. So, friends keep ur cool during the interview. They are going to see how you are approaching a situation & how u r handling the pressure. The way u express urself is also very important.
Hence, first of all
make it a point to practice as many previous year papers as possible.
Try to solve them by ur own. Also "Puzzle to puzzle u" & "More puzles"
by Sakuntala Devi & "Great
book of puzzles" by Summers
are of great help in knowing the approach to solve the puzzles which may
not be common to u. In the first hour, try to solve 8 questions
correctly. If u can solve more than that then its great!! In the English
part, u have to be very quick & concentrate fully on the sentences
given. Bcoz mostly u have to find the correct word or phrases from given
words to fill a sentence,find out the correct sentence from a pair of
sentences etc. Also there will be a unseen passage & 5-6 questions will
be asked from that.

asked in INFOSYS to a great extent.
