    Yodlee Infotech Pvt Ltd

    Technical Writer

    Job Description

    About Yodlee

Yodlee builds online banking and financial applications for the biggest and best in the US financial industry. (Bank of America, Fidelity, MSN, Schwab, and Wachovia, just to name a few...)

In the past year, we have launched new applications for budgeting and spending, bill payment, funds transfer, and more. We have an avid population of users who love our products - but we need someone who can help make our products "come alive" in our product user guides, online help and FAQs and write clear, straightforward installation and deployment guides.

We have an energetic, committed team. We value working smart, working hard, and having a lot of fun. We're still a small enough company that we can afford to be choosy about who we hire, and if you join us, you'll be able to significantly influence our products, processes, and success.

    About the Position

As a member of the Bangalore Tech Pubs team, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and grow the standard set of Yodlee technical publications that support the suite of products. This includes installations guides, operations guides, user guides, deployment guides, release notes and other, Yodlee-specific technical documentation. The audience is both internal and external and includes Yodlee engineering, operations, and professional services teams who are located in Bangalore and in the United States (Redwood Shores, CA) as well as some marketing pieces for customers, web site content, online help, and training materials. Yodlee is a relatively young company with a fluid management style. Project needs often arise last minute, and processes are created and implemented in the moment. You must be able to react quickly to changing needs, making sound decisions with limited amounts of information, and multitasking.

    Qualifications

Experience creating Admin, Installation, and Ops guides for enterprise and ASP software products such as Oracle, Siebel, PeopleSoft, Microsoft (server products), DB2, App Servers, and other large transaction management systems

    Strong technical skills and background

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills (writing samples are required)

Ability to think like a customer, even after becoming familiar with Yodlee’s applications, so all technical documents can be understood by someone new to the suite of products.

Excellent project management and negotiation skills

Ability to learn new applications, technical concepts, and skills quickly—you will have the opportunity to use Yodlee’s applications

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team (preference given to candidates who have experience working with a global team and an off-site manager)

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet aggressive deadlines

Ability to work in a start-up oriented company where everyone wears multiple hats and tends to multiple projects

Experience presenting complex technical material to a variety of audiences

Organized, professional, motivated, and able to make decisions

Skilled with MS Word and Adobe Acrobat in a Windows environment

    Responsibilities

o Interview subject matter experts (product managers, developers, professional services, customer service, etc) to create and maintain installation guides, release notes, user guides, deployment guides, and other Yodlee-specific, technical documentation

Drive content, schedules, and review processes

Execute on documentation project plans set by manager
