    1.Written Test
    2. Technical Interview
    3. HR Interview

    SECTIONAL CUTOFF IS THERE.
    Written Test:
Written test consists of 3 sections :

    1. General English
    2. Aptitude
    3. Technical Questions

English was very easy. All sentence completions, active voice to passive voice, comprehensions like that. Anyone with good english can easily cross this section. Refer to Barrons for sentence completions and comprehensions.
Aptitude was too very easy. It just consists of questions like reasoning, basic physics, ratio-proportions, percentages, profit-loss...refer to RS.Agarwal.
Technical questions will be easy for a student with computer science background. Non-CS please dont worry, you will have a lower cut-off in this section when compared to a CS student. Questions from DBMS, OS, C, Java, Unix, Computer Networks, General keyboard shortcuts will be asked.

    Technical Interview:
I am student from Computer Science, so I felt it easy. Questions asked were :
    1. What do you do in leisure?
    2. Why Wipro?
    3. What is DBMS...and some queries on DBMS....
    4. What is JDBC....and one program on JDBC
    5. Advantages of Java over C...
    6. What are signals in Unix?
    7. What are TSRs in C?
    8. And some questions about my activities in various college events and student clubs.

    HR Interview :
Here comes the dangerous round. It was just around 1 min my HR interview was finished. I was asked these questions only...
    1. Why should I hire you?
    2. What are your strengths?
    3. What is Six-Sigma?

    3. HR Interview

    SECTIONAL CUTOFF IS THERE.

Written Test: consists of 3 sections :

    1.1. General English

    1.2. Aptitude

    1.3. Technical Questions

English was very easy. All sentence completions, active voice to passive voice, comprehensions like that. Anyone with good English can easily cross this section. Refer to Barrens for sentence completions and comprehensions.

Aptitude was too very easy. It just consists of questions like reasoning, basic physics, pendulums, ratio-proportions, percentages, profit-loss...refer to RS. Agarwal. Remember, I just mentioned the name of RS. Agarwal because we will get habituated to solve problems. But none of the problems asked are from RS. Agarwal.

    2. Why Wipro?

    3. What is DBMS...and some queries on DBMS (select, update)....

    4. What is JDBC....and one program on JDBC

    5. Advantages of Java over C...

    6. What are signals in Unix?

    7. What are TSRs in C?

    8. And some questions about my activities in various college events and student clubs.

I didn't miss even one question too... I feel, if one can communicate well, and perform well in technical interview he is through. My technical interview was so cool and the HR was too very impressed.

    HR Interview :

Here comes the dangerous round. It was just around 1 min my HR interview was finished. I was asked these questions only...

    1. Why should I hire you?
I answered like this "Let me coordinate my aims with Wipro's vision and said about Wipro... and at last I said I have ability to learn and do hard work, so I feel it is enough for me to get into Wipro"

    2. What are your strengths?

I said, I can tune myself into any new environment so easily. I have good learning skills and I can perfectly fit into a team. I gave analogies for each of my strength.

    3. What is Six-Sigma?

This is a quality standard. Wipro is the first company to use it. It means, if 1 million products or services are manufactured they will be only 3.2 erroneous products or services. I came to knew it from Pre-placement talk

    WIPRO PAPER - 03 MAR 2006 - BHUBANESHWAR
    WRITTEN TEST
Questions were divided into 3 sections-VERBAL(15 ques.),ANALYTICAL(15 ques.) & TECHNICAL (20 ques.).No negative marking.Guess as much as you can as there is no accuracy rate.

Verbal questions(Cut off-6 to 7 max.) were basically from Analogy,Jumbled sentences,Fill in the blanks. Also go through Antonyms n Synonyms.
Books I followed-BARONS,Word power made easy.

Analytical section(Cut off-6 to 7 max.) was completely filled with long reasoning questions(with simple answers). No questions came from Aptitude chapters like pecentage, profit n loss, time n distance etc.BEWARE, questions patterns can change inadvertently. So you never know.

Technical Section(Cut off-9 to 10 max.) was a part which was challenging because in WIPRO questions come from different areas of computers NOT ONLY C, C++,Data structure n RDBMS.There was only 5 to 6 questions from C and C++ out of 20 ques(structure,postfix-prefix,virtual function, file handling etc.).So study different previous year question papers to understand from which areas questions are coming.

    TECHNICAL INTERVIEW
In my tech interview,I was asked questions for 40 minutes(out of which 20 minutes was of technical n 20 minutes directed to some HR questions to test my communication skills, body language ).JUST SHOW YOUR CONFIDENCE 'N' BE IN A POSITIVE FRAME OF MIND - this is the key sentence which you need to work upon to qualify any interview.

Confidence really matters.DEVELOP THE ART OF READING YOUR INTERVIEWER'S MIND -believe me,this will help you immensely.SPEAK CLEARLY,LOUDLY IN A CONVINCING MANNER IN A HONEST N SUBMISSIVE WAY.Communication skills really do matter. In all the interview panels, they looked out for smart people to fit into the corporate world. Let us look into the questions that was asked to me.

-Most importantly, prepare a sensible and intelligent CURRICULUM VITAE .Dont ever try to -COPY N PASTE.Every CV was glanced line by line.Write about those things which is relevant to you.

-Tell me something about yourself (just throw yourself into this question completely to create an impression).Nearly everyone was asked this question.

-If you have written something about your project, then you are bound to be asked to explain your project. So, by writing on your project you can take 10 min. entirely in your stride. They asked me on my project 'Specialisation in AUTOCAD 2004'.

-Most of the students(including me) were asked to speak on a specific topic for 5 minutes.I was asked to tell something on 'Indian Ancient Monuments'.REMEMBER,keep on telling unless you are told to stop. Some were asked to tell on 'WTC attack' etc.

-Then came the questions from C n C++.The questions will come from the subjects that you have written in your CV.The best part is that they understand the pressure of BPUT.Questions were like
    -What is the difference between C n C ++?
-What is Polymorphism? How Polymorphism n Inheritance are related?
    -What is Virtual Function?
    -Write programs on Inheritance.
    -Basic concepts on C

-Be ready to write any simple programs in C like recursion(factorial, fibonacci series etc),matrix operations, string operations, structure, small codes(using for, while,do-while,if-else)

-Acquire basic knowledge on Linked Lists,Stack n Queue,Sorting n Searching,Postfix-Prefix operations, trees n graphs. DONT NEGLECT DATA STRUCTURE.Students got disqualified as they failed to answer on DSTC.

-Have fundamental knowledge on RDBMS(like different keys, Normalization, indexing, Transaction management).

    - Have a overall fundamental idea of your branch papers (especially your favourites) as this is very crucial.

When I was asked about Polymorphism,I started with a bang explaining everything including operator overloading, function overloading, virtual function until he stopped me (when I was about to write program on virtual function) telling "I am impressed by your prowess in C++,you dont need to explain more".
MORAL OF THE STORY- Just keep on answering any question of your 'comfort zone' confidently(just tell whatever you know relating to that) until he is satisfied.

I was asked to have a 'GROUP DISCUSSION' in the TECH INTERVIEW???So ,expect the unexpected in an interview.I was made to go through GD with a girl on the topic 'INDIAN POLTICS'.If you don't know the answer of any question then, speak out a 'POLITE NO'.Dont hesitate. But if you don't know the answer but know something related to it then speak it out taking permission.

    BOOKS I FOLLOWED-Let us C,Pointers by Kanetkar,Explorer in C, Kamthane, Balagurusamy,CITZEN materials.
In the entire interview,my eyes were stuck to the HR form thinking whether I will get it or not(the glance of the HR form constantly inspired n motivated me).But as we say- 'Fortune favours the brave'.I could not believe having the HR form in my hand.It was the most happiest moment of my life. Then came the turn of HR Interview.

    HR INTERVIEW

I was ecstatic & extremely happy for qualifying the technical interview. So,I was extremely confident of sailing thru the HR interview & became complacent. But,my seniors(who were volunteers n WIPROites) made me aware about my 'last hurdle' which was yet to be completed. Then I controlled myself n prepared to take on the last quarter.

In my HR interview, first of all he asked me about myself and my college. Then he asked me WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU?I answered in a usual simple way-Sir,your company needs smart & intelligent people who have got good analytical & communicative skills & I perfectly justify to your needs.I am creative, dilligent & honest. I have got basic knowledge of C & C++.

Next-YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT C & C++,RIGHT?-Sir, both these prodigious languages are like boundless reservoir of knowledge so if I say I know everything about C & C++ then I will belittle the power of C & C++

-He was visibly impressed by my answer (This answer was told to me by one my senior). He asked me about our tech fest 'CHAKRAVYUH'(as I was the coordinator)

-WHAT DOES CHAKRAVYUH MEANS?-I replied that "CHAKRAVYUH is something where ITERites will get in n come out successfully unlike Abhimanyu in Mahabharata". Now he suddenly told me that "YOU HAVE GOT WEIRD COMMUNICATION SKILLS"(even after being completely aware of my nice comm. skills ).I refused to admit it n showed my state level essay n debate awards after which he admitted of trying to test me.so,ALWAYS STICK TO YOUR INSTINCTS N PREPARE BACK-UPS FOR YOUR EVERY ANSWER.

Then he asked the ultimate question 'ARE U READY TO SIGN THE BOND WITH WIPRO N WORK IN ANY PART OF THE COUNTRY?' n my answer was obvious. And I knew I was selected as I saw my interviewer putting a tick on the 'SELECT' option in the HR form.I was on cloud nine..exultant n enraptured

    WIPRO PAPER - 25 MAR 2006 - WARANGAL

I've attended recruitment process of WIPRO at Vaagdevi College Of engineering,Warangal.

I'm elated to say that I've been selected...

I'd like to share my experiences so that it would be of some use to you..

The Written test consisted of three sections

    1) Verbal - 15 q's-Very easy, No need to go thru Barrons.

    2) Analytical -15 q's- Easy too..Basics are enough.

    3) Technical- 20 q's- on UNIX,CPP,OS,C,DBMS...

This was a bit tough for me as i was from EEE.

Remember, there is an individual cut-off in each section.

I made through the written and my Tech interview was at 7:00 pm..

The interviewer asked me questions on HTML,LINUX, Javascript, diff b/w windows and LINUX

etc,, as I have placed them in my resume...For non-IT students a knowledge of ur subjects and C&DS is

enough....No need to worry...It's cool...I mentioned cricket as my hobby....He asked me solve an arithmetic

to find avg of scores of a batsman...I suggest u to put only that skill set in which u r perfect.....Don't

try to make ur skill set large enough just for the sake of resume..

After the Tech Interview, I received a compliment that i was good at computer knowledge.

Then the HR...It was at about 9:00 pm..It was asked only four q's...Tell me abt urself,What r ur

strengths? ....Have u been in any association? DO u have any backlogs???....That's it....

I awaited the results which were anounced at abt. 10:45 pm...I was 2nd in the list..

WIPRO PATTERN AND INTERVIEW ON 7th AUG UST 2006 AT HYDERABAD

On Aug 7th Wipro visted our campus (Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology, Hyderabad). This was the first time Wipro came to our college.

The selection procedure was like this
PPT started at 10:15 am. Written test at 11:00

    Pattern was same as previous

    Verbal 15
    Analytical 15
    Technical 20
    no negative marking

Previous questions were not repeated. If ur good at grammer in ur school level its enuf to clear Verbal.

Analytical was really analytical as there were only 3 or 4 questions from quant. They were pretty easy. Rest all depends on ur talent.

As I am from Electrical& Electronics I felt Technical very tuf. I knew only 4q's in tech that too from C. God was with me. So I got thru the written test.

Suggestion for non CSE and it students is dat dont worry u can answer atleast 6 q's confidently in tech as there were some q's where u can eliminate 3 options in the first look itself.

    coming to the Tech Interview

We were given only 10 minutes after the results of the written test were announced.

I was the 3rd to my pannel and was the first to be selected by him.
    he: give me ur resume
    me: gave him the resume
he: tell me abt ur self
me: I was prepared for it.i gave the answer promptly. I couldnt maintain eye contact initialy but i could manage it.

he: wat do u kno in C
    me: basics
    he: C++?
me: no. and told him the reason y i didnt learn them outside.
its always better to substantiate such things with a reason.

    he: wat is a datatype
    me: gave the answer
he: asked something on linked list.
me: I couldnt hear him. so i told him i donno
he: wats the difference bet ms office xp and 2003
me: (i wrote tat in my computer skills) i told him we use only the basic features of ms office. may be there r some internet related features in 2003 which r not there in xp.

the real difference is dat office xp runs in win 98, 2000, and win xp. but 2003 runs only on win xp and win 2000 with servicepack.

he: narrated a big passage. the gist was that whether a file created in office 2003 be opened in office xp.
me: yes sir it can be without a problem
    he: r u sure
me: yes sir. i tol him our college has xp and i have 2003 and we often transfer documents.

    he: any questions?
me: asked him two questions related to technical only. dat was a plus point for me.
he: then told me to wait outside and told that he will let me kno
me: thank u sir.he forwarded his hand and i did the same and gave a firm shake hand.

within few min I was given a form for hr interview. It was very lengthy and almost took 20 min to fill. Within next 10 min after filling the form I was called for HR interview.

    Interviewer was a lady.
she: tell me abt ur ur self
me: tol her same thin letter to letter as i tol in tech.

this time eye contact was not at all a problem

she: (i told her something on my introspection in my intro) she asked gimme an incident as an example.

me:i didnt expect her to ask it.but suddenly an incident flashed into my mind. it really happened in my first year.i told her dat.

she: tell me abt ur family
    me : told her
she: y didnt u get placed in CTS and TCS?
me: (cts and tcs came to our college on 3rd of aug) I told her i didnt clear their written.

she: wat did u learn from dat
me: I was not expecting dat but my mind was alert as I was not at all tensed. I told her tat donot fall for temptation from CTS and do not prepare more than ur caliber from TCS.

    she: why wipro?
me: I was perpared for this question. i tol her three points abt wipro in which i gave her a hint tat i prefer working in south india.

she: wat if i place u in gurgoan (wipro is there in gurgoan)
me: no problem i will work there for a couple of years and take a transfer and come back to south.

she: wat do u think abt ur college:
me: told her all the good things which i knew abt our college (our college is really popular for its placements, thanks to ur placement officer). first i told her tat our college has good placements and good companies r coming and i also told tat Wipro is one such company

its always good to boost abt ur college though u dont like somethings in ur college describe those points in which ur college is different from other colleges.
