    Father of Indian Engineering

Sir Vishweswaraiya was a gifted engineer.
In the colonial rule, when there was hardly any infrastructure and
no support from government, he conceived and lead to fruition
several engineering projects that won him admiration from
    his counterparts from advance countries.
He designed automatic doors for the khadakwasla dam near Pune.
The idea was later copied in the Panama Canal.
In addition, he also led the project for controlling the MOOSI River
To ensure the safety of Hyderabad city.
