    Admission Notice for Diploma Courses 2013

    Courses Offered:
    3 - Years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Die & Mould Making)
    3 - Years Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Mechatronics & Industrial Automation)
    The above courses consist of one year of common training followed by another two years of specialisation in respective discipline.

    The medium of instruction is English.

    FIRST YEAR COMMON TRAINING PROGRAM:
    Based on the Entrance Test the trainees shall be admitted to the first year common training program.
    DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (Die & Mould Making):
    This course is the restructured version of “Advanced Diploma in Die and Mould Making” which was started in 1977 with the collaboration of Government of Switzerland.
    After completion of combined course of 1st year, the trainees will have the option of taking up this course and the selection will be done on the basis of laid down procedure of ISTC rules.
    There are 54 seats for this course. On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be awarded Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Die & Mould Making)
    DIPLOMA IN ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING (Mechatronics & Industrial Automation):
    This is the restructured version of “Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics and Industrial Automation” which was started in 1996.
    After completion of combined course of 1st year, the trainees will have the option of taking up this course and the selection will be done on the basis of laid down procedure of ISTC rules. There are 54 seats for this course.
    On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be awarded “Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Mechatronics & Industrial Automation).

    HOW TO APPLY:

    The application form is required to be filled on-line only.

    Before applying online form, the candidates are advised to read instructions carefully given in the Information Brochure.
    The charges for cost of Application form including examination fee are Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC Candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST.
    The fee is to be deposited directly in any branch of State Bank of India into the Power Jyoti Account Number 33004547024 with the help of Fee Deposit Slip downloaded from our website.
    Last date for online submission of application form is 24th June 2013 up to 5.00 PM.
    The valid email id of the applicant/parents/guardian is mandatory for applying and future communication.

    AGE:
    Those born on or after 1st September 1994 (1st September 1991in case of SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply.

    ENTRANCE TEST

    SYLLABUS
    The test will comprise of questions in Mathematics, Science, Aptitude, English and General Knowledge. Syllabus for the entrance test will be of CBSE 10th class standard.

    EXAM INATION PATTERN
    The ISTC entrance examination will consists of objective multiple choice questions.
    25% of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer

    Opening Date for On-Line submission of ISTC Entrance Form: 25th May 2013 9.00 a.m.
    Closing Date for On-Line submission of ISTC Entrance Form: 24th June 2013 up to 5.00 p.m.
    Last date for Receipt of “Print out of the System Generated Application Form for ISTC Entrance Exam” along with Fee Deposit Slip (ISTC Copy) at ISTC, CSIO, Chandigarh: 01st July 2013 up to 5.00 p.m
    Starting Date to print the e - Admit Card and Attendance Card for ISTC Entrance Test by the authorized applicants from CSIO website: 15th July 2013 9.00 a.m.
    Entrance Test Date (Day): 11th August 2013 (Sunday) 9.30 a.m.
    Result declaration: 19th August 2013 (Tentative)
    Session starts on: 02nd September 2013 (Monday) 9.00 a.m.
