    PG Courses Admission-2013
    Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following PG Courses
    Admission into M.Sc courses, candidates of Andhra Pradesh possessing Bachelor degrees in the concerned fields accredited by ICAR only are eligible

    Candidates from other states should seek admission into M.Sc courses through the All India examination conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi
    Ph.D course, candidates of other states are also eligible and they may apply

    Major Fields

    Faculty of Agriculture: Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Entomology, Agril Extension, Genetics and Pl Breeding, Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology, Soil Science, Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology
    Faculty of Home Science (for women only): Foods and Nutrition, Human Development and Family Studies, Family Resource Management, Textile and Apparel Designing
    Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology: Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural Process and Food Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power
    Qualifications: Master’s degree in the concerned faculty and major field with a minimum of 50% marks in traditional system or OGPA of 7.50/10.00 or 3.25/4.00
    SC/ST candidates with a pass in traditional system or OGPA of 7.00/10.00 or 3.00/4.00 are eligible
    Basic Degree B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc (Home Science)/B.Tech (Ag Engg) of 4 years as the case may be is essential
    The candidates should have submitted the M.Sc level thesis on or before the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications and must complete the thesis final viva voce examination successfully as on the date of registration in case of selected candidates
    M.Sc Courses: The candidates must have passed the relevant Bachelor degree examination specified against each course from ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR/ approved by ANGRAU
    M.Sc (Ag): B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc CABM of 4 years duration
    M.Sc (Ag) Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology: B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc CABM/ Hort/ Sericulture/ Forestry of 4 years duration
    M.Sc (Home Science) (Women only) (Food and Nutrition, Human Development and Family Studies, Family Resource Management, Textile and Apparel Designing, Home Science Extension and Communication Management): B.H.Sc/B.Sc (Home Science) of 4 years duration
    MBA (Agri Business Management): B.Sc (Ag/Hort) or B.Tech (Ag Engg) or B.V.Sc & AH/B.F.Sc/ B.H.Sc/ (Rural) B.Sc (H.Sc)/ B.Tech (Dairying)/ B.Tech (Food Technology)/ B.Sc (Food Science and Technology)/ B.Sc (CA&BM) of 4 years duration
    M.Sc (Food Technology): B.Tech (Ag Engg/Dairy)/B.V.Sc/B.Tech (Food Technology) or B.Sc (Home Science) B.H.Sc or B.Sc (Ag)/Hort/Sericulture/Forestry/B.Sc CABM or B.F.Sc of 4 years duration
    M.Sc (Ag) Environmental Science and Technology: B.Tech (Ag Engg/B.V.Sc/ or B.Sc (Home Science) or B.Tech Environmental Science and Technology/Environmental Studies or B.Sc (Ag)/ Hort/ Sericulture/Forestry/B.Sc CABM or B.F.Sc of 4 years duration
    M.Tech (Agri Engineering): B.Tech (Ag Engg) of 4 years duration; B.Tech Food Technology Graduates of 4 years are eligible for M.Tech Agricultural Process and Food Engineering
    NRI/Industry Quota: In MBA (Agri Business Management) course 10% (5 seats) are reserved for NRIs/ Industry sponsored candidates
    5% of the seats shall be provided to NRIs/and 5% to Industry sponsored candidates
    If candidates of one category are not available they shall be allotted to the other category
    NRIs should have studied relevant bachelor degree programme prescribed against the course abroad
    For Industry quota the candidates should possess the qualifications prescribed above and also two years relevant experience in Agri Business Sector
    They should be sponsored by the Industry/Organization
    The candidates under NRI/Industry quota need not appear for entrance test
    They shall be selected based on merit
    They should indicate NRI/Industry quota on the top of the first page of the application
    Qualification: Minimum marks/OGPA required at qualifying examination for admission into M.Sc level courses, in traditional system 50% marks or an OGPA of 5.50 / 10.00 or 2.50 / 4.00
    SC/ST categories 40% marks in traditional system or OGPA of 5.00/10.00 or 2.00/4.00
    The candidates completing their graduation requirements during the year 2012-13 should submit course completion certificate issued by the Associate Dean of the concerned college

    PG Diploma Courses
    PG Diploma in Nutritional Therapy: B.Sc Home Science/Nursing/Nutrition as optional subject
    PG Diploma in Food Analysis and Quality Control: B.Sc (Home Science)/Nutrition as one of the subjects/B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc (Horticulture)/B.Sc or B.Tech (Food Science and Technology)
    PG Diploma in Event Management: Male and female graduates from Arts/Science/Commerce background with good communication skills
    Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 01st July, 2013
    Filled in application should accompany demand draft for Rs 800/-for General and Rs 400/- for SC/ST/PH categories (M.Sc/Ph.D/PG Diploma courses) for each course
    The demand draft should be from any nationalized Bank and drawn in favour of Comptroller, Acharya NG
    Ranga Agricultural University, payable at Hyderabad
    Postal orders/money orders will not be accepted

    If Hall tickets are not received in time, the candidates may obtain the duplicate hall tickets a day before the examination from PG Section, Administrative Office, ANGR Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad between 10.30 a.m. to 04.00 p.m.
    Application Submission: Applications duly filled in including those sent through employers should reach the Registrar, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030 on or before 18th June, 2013 (all courses) by 04.00 p.m.
    Postal delays will not be condoned

    M.Sc (Ag) In-service candidates may send advance copiesof applications alongwith certificates so as to reach on or before the 18th June, 2013 to save delay in forwarding applications by the employers
    Applications may be accepted with a late fee of Rs 100/- per day upto three days after the prescribed date
    Such candidates will be allowed for entrance test/ interview only on production of receipt or demand draft towards the late fee
