Desired Candidate Profile

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's Level Degree

• 3 to 4 years of experience in application maintenance and production support

• Person’s work experience must be in an environment consisting of applications on Microsoft .Net, IIS Servers and SQL Server.

o Good knowledge of SQL statements, stored procedures, functions, and triggers

o Experience in supporting applications built on Microsoft .Net tools (VB.NET, ASP.NET)

o Experience in supporting applications hosted on Microsoft IIS 6.0 and IIS 7.0

• Prior experience in working in teams spread across multiple locations across multiple time zones



Good (but not mandatory) to have:

• Knowledge of document imaging technologies and workflow management is a plus

• Experience in developing applications in the areas of financial services, banking, or mortgage business, and in enterprise document management systems is a plus.

• Exposure to developing enterprise scale multi-tier web, client and server-based software applications

• Exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle such as requirements definition, development, production support, and testing.

• Technical Skills:

o Visual Studio Team System Development tools - VB.NET, ASP.NET and C#;

o HTML and DHTML; XML, XSL, and XSLT, VB Script and Java Script;

o N-Tier and Object Oriented Architectures;



Job Description

Application Support / Maintenance Role:

Major Accountabilities (Duties may include but are not limited to)

• Work in a 24X7 setup involving night shifts

• Responsible for providing technical support for IT applications used by the organization.

• Understand application and business functionality and use technical and analytical expertise to locate and resolve problems.

• Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support; document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.

• Works with customers to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve outstanding technical issues.

• Works on the administration and maintenance activities of the IT applications.

• Works on deploying application fixes and enhancements to UAT and Production environments.

• Understand and document application functionality, knowledge documents, FAQs (frequently asked questions), application help guides, etc

• Performs other tasks as needed.



The job holder will be required to work additional hours as necessary in order to fulfill the requirements of the role and be available for International travel on an infrequent basis.
