Job Description:
Progress® Actional® (http://www.actional.com/) SOA management products provide operational and business visibility and policy-based security and control of services and end-to-end business processes in a heterogeneous runtime environment. Actional continuously optimizes services according to business requirements, ensures compliance with regulatory and security policy, and provides root cause analysis for effective issue resolution.
Progress Actional is starting a team in Progress Software India, Hyderabad to develop the next set of features for its web-based management products. For the right candidate, this position will be an exciting challenge exposing the candidate to a variety of technologies and a chance to explore the SOA technology space from inside the industry. The position calls for excellent development skills especially in Java and any exposure to web-based technologies such as JSP, Servlets, Java script, Flash and HTML is a plus. The candidate is expected to have an active interest in the enterprise technical space and be aware of leading standards in Web Services, SOA, etc. Creativity and strong analytical skills will help the candidate take advantage of this opportunity. Since this is a new team and has a lot of scope for growth in the near future, there are opportunities to prove oneself and grow with it.
Qualifications Required:
B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent) from a reputable university
1 to 2 and half years of experience in Java with excellent programming skills
Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate effectively in geographically distributed, international teams
Web based technologies are a plus - Java Script, JSP, Servlets, Flash, Struts Framework, HTML, CSS, etc.
Although not mandatory candidate must be willing to learn and excel.
